Babysitting

Babysitting services can be arranged for you and can be booked at reception. Payment is paid directly to the sitter.

Massage

Available most days by prior arrangement. Bookings via reception.

Charge Facilities

All facilities and services at the resort can be charged back to your room account.

Banks

Banks are available is the main centers as are ATM’s, accepting international debit/credit cards.

Currency

Pricing at the Resort is in Tongan Pa’anga (TOP$) and is inclusive of all taxes.

Credit Cards

Tongan Beach Resort accepts, cash, Visa and MasterCard.

Tipping

Tipping is not a custom and not expected in the Kingdom of Tonga, but during public performances such as a Tongan Feast, appreciation may be shown by placing small denomination notes on to the oiled skin of dancers.
If you wish to leave a tip for any of our staff, this can be given to the Front Office or Office Assistant specifically for any member of the staff that you have appreciated. Alternative you can give it to the Front Office or Office Assistant to deposit into our staffs “Resort Account” which is evenly divided amongst the staff at Christmas time.

Religion

Tonga is a devoutly Christian society – the Sabbath is declared sacred in the Tongan Constitution. With the exception of bakeries and a few restaurants catering to tourists, Tonga is shut on Sundays.

We recommend that you might like to attend one of the church services on a Sunday – the singing in truly beautiful.

Internet

Wireless internet is available in the main bar and restaurant area for guests who have their own laptops.

Fans and Air-Conditioning

All guest rooms are fitted with electric ceiling fans. Some rooms have air-conditioning and are subject to availability at time of booking. A daily surcharge for their use is payable direct to the resort on departure.

Electricity

Electrical power is 240 volts, using plugs common to New Zealand and Australia.

Laundry and Ironing

A laundry and ironing service is available, usually back the next day. Laundry bags and forms are available in guest rooms.

Safety Deposit Boxes

All guest rooms have a safe for house guests use.

Telephone Calls

Local and international calls can be made from reception – charges will occur accordingly.

Pool and Beach Safety

Please note that the pool and beach are not staffed by a lifeguard. Parents are responsible for children in the water at all times. Pool closes at 8.00pm.
