Dining here at The Tongan Beach Resort, Vava’u

Tongan Beach Resort guests enjoy pacific rim cuisine showing casing locally caught seafood from the sea and produce grown by our local market gardeners, while dining amongst a spectacular south pacific setting, right on the beach!

We offer an a la carte menu including daily blackboard specials.

Opening Hours

Breakfast: 7.30am – 10.30am
Lunch :12.00noon – 2.00pm
Light Snacks: 2.00pm – 4.00pm
Dinner From: 5.00pm, with last orders taken by 8.30pm

Evenings at the Tongan Beach Resort can commence with cocktails sipped in our overwater fale, where you can enjoy a picturesque sunset or watch tropical fish swim lazily below you.

Diners can also be served in our main dining restaurant and deck area, or at your own table at the water’s edge decorated with beautiful flowers and candlelight – the perfect way to spend your evening together.

Sandpit Bar

Open from 7.30am, licensed from 11.00am, serving all of your favourite drinks, and our famous cocktails!! Try our “Cocktail of the Day” at a Happy Hour price.

Children’s Menu

We offer an a la carte menu for children including a number of healthy dining options. As a child friendly resort we welcome any suggestions or special requests for children’s meals and will accommodate these where possible and with adequate notice.

Meal Plan

Tongan Beach Resort offers guests the opportunity of pre-paying for Meal Plan dining options. Full Meal Plan includes a la carte dining off our breakfast, lunch and dinner menus. Half Meal Plan includes dining off our a la carte menu for either breakfast and lunch, or breakfast and dinner – alcoholic beverages are additional. Please advise at time of booking if either of these options is required during your stay.

Packed Lunch

Packed lunches are available by arrangement should you wish to take lunch on a day excursion such as a snorkeling or kayaking trip.

Dietary Requirements

If you have any particular dietary requirements, please let us know at time of booking.

Dress Code

At the resort our dress code is informal; however we ask that no swimsuits are worn in the restaurant for evening meals.

Reservations

We assume you will be in for dinner unless you advise us otherwise. We would appreciate if you could let us know before 3.00pm if you are not intending to dine at the resort for your evening meal.
